SPEC PROJECT: Moog Music Email Assets

To create these email assets, I researched the Moog Music instruments brand and developed copy for a hypothetical sales campaign for International Synthesizer Day and the birthday of founder Robert Moog. I incorporated recent and historic visual assets of this legacy brand, including contemporary artist collaborations and a 1974 sales brochure, as well as an aesthetic inspired by retro science fiction to reflect the brand’s creative, quirky reputation and their balance of tradition and innovation.

LawnStarter: No Mow May Catches On to Save Pollinators

To write this web content piece, I strategized ways to market an untapped audience (anti-lawn mowing homeowners and participants in ‘No Mow May’) to my client’s landscaping services. I explored the pros and cons of participating in a No Mow May initiative, suggested strategies such as partially mowing lawns and planting native species, and linked pieces in a content cluster of sustainable landscaping options such as pollinator gardens, butterfly gardens, and wildflower meadows.

The Boot: Hear Lucius’ New Single from Brandi Carlile-Produced Album

For this piece, I pulled from information on a press release, a list of upcoming tour dates, and music video content to share news of an album announcement and a new single from the band Lucius. I researched the band’s previous projects and collaborations and synthesized this information into a succinct article about the upcoming release.

PoolGnome: 3 Types of In-Ground Pools and How to Choose One

I was given the prompt of “X Types of In-Ground Pools and How To Choose One” by a client for this piece. I researched this topic and analyzed articles from my client’s competing outlets. I compiled resources from pricing guides and considerations of different in-ground pool types, created lists of pros and cons and important factors to consider when installing an in-ground pool, and linked to my client’s home services resources.

LawnLove: 12 Bright Ideas for Accessible Landscaping

For my client’s evergreen blogs content department, I brainstormed the content cluster topic of “accessible landscaping” to synthesize pieces on vertical gardens, sensory gardens, and edible plants, as well as mulch and deck pricing guides. I researched tenets of accessible landscaping design to craft a unified, informative piece that communicated the benefits of accessible landscaping and how these landscaping options made lawns more accessible.
